At some point, we all need a recharge of our internal batteries. We’ve discovered an ideal place to do this, it’s The Cottage at Salomons Estate set in 36 acres of the glorious Kent countryside.

A long weekend away is the perfect way to recharge your batteries. Located on the doorstep of Tunbridge Wells, is a self-catering holiday home, The Cottage at Salomons Estate. Here up to six guests can enjoy three night’s accommodation from £800 and it also has the option of a private chef to cook breakfast and/or dinner, at an additional cost.

Salomons Estate is set in the Kent countryside and has 36 acres of beautiful parkland around it. The Cottage is an ideal place to relax and if the mood takes you, some light exploration of the beautiful grounds. If you’re feeling hungry, you’ll be pleased to hear breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner is available at the on-site restaurant.

The Pub & Dining Rooms offer a seasonally changing menu from traditional pub classics and Sunday lunch to more quirky and exotic dishes, all prepared by the venue’s talented chefs. Prices are from £19.50 and if you feel up for a treat, there’s a traditional afternoon tea in the Estate’s country house.

Dog owners will be pleased to know furry friends are welcome, and there is a decent range of dog-friendly amenities and services to keep them happy. These include a doggy treasure trail (below) to pup-friendly accommodation, allowing man’s best friend to join in on a family weekend getaway to Kent’s glorious countryside. Dogs are also welcome at The Cottage, this carries a supplementary cost of £20 per dog per night.

Salomons Estate is right on the doorstep of some of Kent’s best attractions. Places to experience include the vineyard Hush Heath Estate, where visitors can take self-guided or expert-led tours of vineyards and orchards, and engage in some wine tasting. Other places include the Trinity Theatre and The Assembly Hall Theatre in the spa town of Tunbridge Wells, and the town’s historic Pantiles, a famous promenade of quirky shops and cafés.
