Team Vitality vs MAD Lions
Team Vitality (“VIT”) BEAT Mad Lions (“MAD”) in a SOMETHING game. The 10 minute mark sees the game come to life with a kill for MAD in the mid lane before a huge fight breaks out in the bot lane with a kills traded and gold evened out. Another fight starts in the mid lane, this time around VIT take two kills and reinstate their early gold lead and pick up their first drake.
A frantic period of action sees MAD take a tower and two kills while VIT pick up two in the top lane over an extended fight. 22nd minute sees a fight breaks out in the VIT jungle, with health bars low somehow only one player drops and its MAD who lose out. The 26th minute sees MAD stamp their authority on the game as they take out four of VIT player’s and get the Baron.
With the buff, they push down the mid inhib before moving to the bot lane picking up four kills and breaking the bot lane open. MAD take their second Baron and head down mid, moving into the base slowly, picking up kills as they go MAD take the win and pick up their first LEC win.

Rogue vs Excel Esports
Rogue (“RGE”) beat Excel Esports (“XL”) one of the most back-and-forth games we’ve seen so far. First blood goes to RGE as they catch out Expect in the top lane, XL is not having any of it as they grab two kills back for themselves and even out the gold. Small fights break out, one goes even but XL pulls ahead in a later fight as they slowly start to mount a lead. By 15 minutes, the lead is gone again as RGE takes two kills and a second Drake as the game once again evens out.
As we approach the 20th minute, XL just push, taking the top lane tier two and the inhib behind it as they make great use of the Rift Herald with RGE really do nothing to stop them, XL take a 2k lead in the process. The 24th minute sees RGE flank XL and pick up a kill, they bait towards Baron and pick up another before securing the Baron and claiming yet another kill losing one in return. With Baron on their side, RGE take the fight to XL and pick up an ace losing just the one player in return while breaking open the XL base taking their Baron Power Play to over 6k. The game ends at the 31st minute, with RGE in full control they crack the base and go 2-0 in the LEC.

Schalke 04 vs Origen
Schalke 04 (“S04”) beat Origen (“OG”) in a fairly one-sided match in the end, after a slow middle period. The game got off to a quicker start than most games this weekend with OG picking up first blood with Xerxe ganking top lane and securing himself a kill. S04 would retaliate 2 minutes later as Dreams traversed the entire map to help pick up a kill for his team, S04 would pick up a great mid lane kill to maintain their lead shortly after.
The back-and-fourth continue into the 20-minute mark with OG keeping hold of its 2k lead with 6 kills on the board. A 1v1 breaks out in the bot lane as Abbedagge gets caught out, he loses the fight and makes a slick Realm Warp play, not to be outdone, Upset snipes him and secures another kill for OG as the team also takes the Mountain Drake.
The back-and-forth stopped and it took until the 34th minute for the game to truly come alive, Gilius is caught out in mid and in the preceding fight S04 pick up the first kill but with Alphari returning after securing the Drake OG clean up three kills and take a 4k lead in the game with Baron still not picked up. OG decided they don’t need the Baron to win, however, as they push down mid, breaking the base open in the process before picking up two kills and the game. A strange game, which seemed closer than it ended up being.

Misfits vs Fnatic
Fnatic (“FNC”) beat Misfits Gaming (“MSF”) in what was one of the most comfortable games we’ve seen so far. First blood came quick, 3 minutes in Rekkles got a double kill after both junglers headed to the bot lane as Fnatic took an early 1.5k lead. Two fights break up in the bot and top lane, while top looks to go MSF way a TOP from Nemesis turns it around as bot lane sees FNC picked up three kills in total with an Infernal Drake to boot. An 8-minute dive in mid gets MSF their first kill while a follow up kill goes the way of FNC before the FNC bot lane show up to put Rekkles on four kills before the 10-minute mark.
With the earlier dive still in their minds, MSF tries a 2v1 fight on Bwipo, it goes the way of the FNC top laner, however, as FNC increase their lead. 15 minutes in and this has certainly been the most active game of the day, another fight in mid sees Rekkles move onto eight kills and FNC take a 7k lead.
It would take FNC only until minute 19 to clean up the game, taking the nexus and securing themselves their first win of the Spring Split in a very comfortable fashion.

G2 Esports vs SK Gaming
G2 Esports (“G2”) beat SK Gaming (“SK”) in atypical G2 fashion as they look a bit slow to start with but then steamroll through the mid and late game. First blood went the way of SK after G2 step forward and Trick assists his bot lane to punish. With the fight over and Caps TPing back into the lane Mikyx gets too far forward and loses his life for it. G2 get on the board as the clock strikes 10 with a 3 man dive on the top lane picking up a kill on Crownshot who could do nothing to stop it.
The game starts to get messy as a fight breaks out near the Rift Herald, with kills going to both sides before the fight continues to the SK top tower as they take a small lead. With SK sending the Rift Herald to crack the G2 mid lane, G2 pick up three kills while keeping their mid-tower alive. G2 take a big lead into the 23rd minute when the next fight breaks out, the fight extends with G2 taking two early kills and trading Jankos’s life in return, however, some great play from SK sees them pick up another two kills and take the fight, with G2 still holding onto a large lead.
G2 doesn’t rest on their laurels, however, as they destroy SK in mid, picking up an ace, the Baron and their fourth Drake. Minute 30 brings the end of the game, G2 push, SK can do nothing to stop them as G2 goes 2-0 in the opening week.
