Fortnite Pros Line Up for Chipotle’s Fourth Challenger Series – The Esports Observer|home of essential esports business news and insights

Chipotle has officially announced that Epic Game’s Fortnite will be the game being played for the fourth edition of the 2020 Chipotle Challenger Series. The online event allows fans an opportunity to compete against athletes, musicians, esports pros, and others with a total of $50K USD and free burritos for a year as prizes. This is the second consecutive series where players will compete in Fortnite. The event qualifiers will take place on Nov. 24 and Dec. 3, with the Chipotle Challenger Series VI Finale being played on Dec. 8.

Headlining the event will be 2019 Fortnite World Champion Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf along with Cody “Clix” Conrod, Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson, Nicholas “Nick Eh 30” Amyoony, and Soleil “Ewok” Wheeler who will also compete against amateur players in the finale.

Teams that qualify for the finale will have the chance to go head-to-head in a private lobby of 33 trio teams that will feature Tyler Joseph of Twenty One Pilots, football star JuJu Smith-Schuster, and skateboarders Jagger Eaton and Heimana Reynolds. 

A total prize pool of $50K will be distributed to winners of the event with first place receiving $30K, second place receiving $15K, and third place netting $5K.
