BELOIT — Those looking to learn more about the companies at Irontek might want to check out Pitch Night set for 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Irontek, 635 Third St.

To RVSP people can visit the following: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/gbeta-beloit-pitch-night-fall-2019-tickets-85900106531.

The event is free and all are invited.

The following five local start-ups will be delivering their five-minute pitch: Keith Pulvermacher of Givesong from Oconomowoc; Kahloong Teh of Gyld from Madison; Reagan Jung of Mistifeye from Madison; Stefan Augustsson of RealityBLU from Beloit; and Isaac Smith of Vector from Beloit.

Each company works out of Irontek’s coworking space during the seven-week program and can remain there long-term through a partnership with Hendricks Commercial Properties and Irontek.

Vector of Beloit makes bow hunting arrows. Each arrow is custom-built to the user’s specifications. Vector’s online store launched in January 2020, and it has generated more than $3,500 in revenue.

RealityBLU of Beloit provides marketers with a platform to create augmented reality experiences. Its platform eliminated the technical barrier to implement and measure augmented reality experiences, allowing marketers to attract more customers. It’s acquired more than 290 users and grown 300% year to date.

gBETA Beloit’s Fall 2019 cohort kicked off on Dec. 5 with five local startups working for seven weeks with the gBETA team to meet mentors, gain customer traction, and pitch to accelerators and investors. The cohort graduates on Feb. 4 at Pitch Night. There will be an opportunity before and after the presentations to network with the startup companies and other attendees.

“It’s exciting to showcase these five startups to the community,” said Mason Cook, director of gBETA Beloit. “This cohort consists of a diverse group of startups ranging from custom hunting arrows to augmented reality marketing software. All of the companies have made incredible progress during our seven-week program and I’m thrilled to see the impact each will have in the greater community.”

gBETA Beloit is an early-stage business accelerator program held two times per year and accepts five local companies per cohort. gBETA works with startups from across all industries and business models.
