“Texas has been on our radar for years, and we’re humbled and proud to have a community strong enough to break ground in a market this size. We couldn’t imagine a better location than The Star and Frisco to bring the LCS to Texas and deliver a completely new experience to our fans,” said Chris Greeley, LCS commissioner.

The Star is a 91-acre campus that includes the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and practice facility. Additionally, the campus houses the GameStop Performance Center and headquarters of Complexity Gaming.

The Spring Split Finals will see both the semifinal and final matches of this year’s new expanded Spring playoffs bracket. The winner of the Spring Split will qualify to represent North America on the global stage at the 2020 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational.

According to Riot Games, The Summer Split finals last year contributed $5.44M to the local economy of its host city, Detroit

“As Sports City USA, Frisco is known for embracing all things sports and esports is no exception,” said Mayor Jeff Cheney, City of Frisco. The event is expected to generate more than $3M in tourism dollars for our community, which also benefits our residents. Whether you’re a competitor, a fan or enthusiast, we’re confident your experience at The Star in Frisco will be like no other.”
