On Jan. 25, Stop & Shop locations at 700 Pleasant St. and 171 Watertown St. threw a birthday party for Marty the robot.
Launched in 325 Stop & Shop stores last January, Marty roams the retailer’s stores, searching for spills and potential hazards. To date, the robot has spotted nearly 40 spills or other potential hazards, on average, in each store every day.
