Iron Man’s Robot Army is Growing in Marvel’s Universe

Iron Man’s world and place in the Marvel Universe is changing, now that Tony Stark has admitted he died long ago, and remains only as a non-human simulation. Tony’s long lost brother Arno Stark has been preparing to claim his destiny as Iron Man 2020. But now that his true mission has been revealed, fans will need to rethink much of what has been taken for granted.

The time has come, not only for Arno to claim his destiny, but for machinekind to unite and demand equal rights! It was evident that not all humans think A.I.s are worthy, and Arno Stark – Iron Man 2020 – is one of them. Now that Marvel has offered the first official preview of his series, exposing the paranoia (or justified fear) that has been driving him, he may be the only hope the world has of surviving. Assuming he isn’t too distracted by the resurrected Howard and Maria Stark, of course.

Will he still fight with all he has against the robot revolution, even as other heroes begin to fill their ranks? Can Arno Stark truly be the Iron Man of the future if he’s on the wrong side of history? Get that tease for yourselves by reading the preview pages below, and witnessing the birth of a new Iron Man:

The writers have done a terrific job of walking the line between Arno appearing as an obvious villain, and a misunderstood genius lacking… a human perspective on the world, and the problems solved by superheroes like the Avengers. Considering Arno Stark’s unorthodox origin story, even that would be totally understandable. The questions will remain for the time being, but Iron Man fans can start counting the final days until 2020 truly begins. In the meantime, read on below for the full solicitation details and plot synopsis:
