During his tenure at Mark Burnett Productions, Roush worked on a number of television programs including Shark Tank, The Voice, and the Emmy Awards.

Roush spoke on investing in Subnation in a release: “The long-term value of Subnation’s position in the market is massive, and I couldn’t be more pleased to advise them on their next chapter of growth. As the world’s attention shifts to digital platforms and new forms of entertainment, Subnation knows the gaming community, what the audience wants and where to deliver it. They provide networks, streaming platforms and brands fresh formats and authentic stories that attract the screens of gamers now and in the future.”

In July, Subnation made three executive hires which saw Chris Mann appointed as Chief Operating Officer, Carla Rizzo become Head of Brand Partnerships, and former creative coordinator at FaZe Clan Alec Strasmore appointed as Head of Influencer Relations.

Doug Scott, Co-founder and Chief Managing Partner at Subnation, also commented on the hire: “I’m excited to welcome Jim to the Subnation family as he exemplifies the caliber of talent we want to collaborate with. There has never been a bigger opportunity for content creators than there is today.

“From streaming tournaments and gameplay tutorials to lifestyle programming and branded content, gamers are consuming a record amount of video across a multitude of platforms. The addition of Jim to our team will accelerate our ability to develop and produce original content that not only attracts and engages the gaming community but also drives digital commerce.”

Esports Insider says: Given the vast amount of production experience Roush possesses, this is a solid addition by Subnation.  With him advising the company, we’re interested to see what’s in store for Subnation towards the end of 2020.
