German esports organization SK Gaming has signed German brewery Krombacher as its official refreshment partner. The partnership includes jointly produced content formats, an exclusive mobile gaming tournament powered by Krombacher, and logo and product placements. The parties agreed to a deal running through the end of 2021 with an extension option for one additional year. As is common practice in the industry, SK Gaming preferred to keep the financial details of the deal private.
The Krombacher brewery, which is located roughly 70km (43.5m) from SK Gaming’s headquarters in Cologne, produces a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beers including Krombacher o,0% and Vitamalz Sport, which are marketed to athletes. SK Gaming’s facilities in Cologne and Berlin will be equipped with the brewery’s product portfolio. The legal age for buying alcoholic beer, wine, and cider in Germany is 16; 14 when accompanied by a legal guardian.
