With the success of the new Call of Duty League, Infinity Ward has announced a brand new playlist update for Modern Warfare. But what is it exactly? IW will be adding a game mode that combines fan-favorite, Team Deathmatch, and pending-league favorite, Domination, into one brand new mode: Deathmatch Domination.
When the Call of Duty franchise was released on October 24, Infinity Ward had already released lots of new content for players to go through; fresh skins, a bevy of new weapons, updated classic maps, as well as regular game mode changes.
Now, though, they are preparing to shake things up with some more changes to the current multiplayer playlist with a never before seen mode that combines two of the game’s biggest fan-favorite modes into one. It should be noted that Deathmatch Domination mode was first featured as a later addition to Black Ops 4.
Simply put, Deathmatch Domination is a blend of Team Deathmatch with shades of Domination – a game that requires you to both play the objective while trying your hardest not to cost your team a menagerie of unwanted or unwarranted deaths.
“Capture the flags and take down enemies in your path and both will push your team to victory on the scoreboard,” Infinity Ward commented in their weekly blog update. As for the other changes to multiplayer, this new update will give fans the opportunity to fight to the death in and out of their 24/7 Shipment – which should be an easy enough way to quickly level up given the close-quarters nature of the map.
