Online bookmaker Betway has announced its sponsorship of the European, CIS, and Chinese editions of AMD SAPPHIRE OGA Dota PIT, an online Dota 2 tournament.
Europe and CIS will compete together in one tournament from September 20th to 26th while the Chinese arm will play through its own group between September 29th and October 8th.

The pair of tournaments, organised by events company One Game Agency, will feature a combined prize pool of $295,000 (£229,066.62).

Featuring the world’s best DOTA 2 players, the competition is guaranteed to be fierce, and the opportunity for the community to find the best odds on the market having Betway as our event partner.”
The event marks the third edition of the OGA Dota PIT series, which launched in April 2019 with a $300,000 (£232,949.10) cash purse. Top international Dota 2 contenders such as OG, Alliance, PSG.LGD, Team Liquid, and Royal Never Give Up have been confirmed as participating teams.

Betway has historically been quite active in both the Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive markets. In addition to being a long-time partner of Swedish organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas, the operator has this year inked deals with DreamHack, BLAST, and Beyond The Summit.
