Your story of managing to decide what you wanted your wedding to look like has left us curious to know more, do share what you had in mind!

Even though everything happened so quickly for us, my wedding was something that I had been planning for a very long time. Being a designer, I knew I wanted to do completely different looks for all my functions. Hence, I started finding inspirations and brainstormed ideas to put together my look as well as the wedding decor.

How did you decide what you wanted for the ceremony and functions?

For each function, I picked a colour palette and decided on the designs accordingly. I made a design PDF and emailed them to the vendors and everyone who was helping in the process. I was spending long hours with my kaarigars, decorators and other vendors. I even made my own excel sheets and presentations for the decor team with all my ideas, which were so helpful in putting together the wedding.

That’s rather meticulous we must say. Did you happen to design all the outfits as well?

I decided to design a timeless red traditional lehenga for the wedding day and my husband went for a beige and gold sherwani to create the perfect contrast. For our Sangeet, I decided on a gold lehenga with beautiful jewellery consisting of a maang tikka and paasa to create that perfect Pakistani bridal look and for the Cocktail, Vedant and I wanted to go for something that gave the look and feel of Hollywood glam.

The outfits truly complimented the decor, what did you have in mind while deciding that aspect?

The decor on our wedding day consisted of red roses, tuberoses, glass mirror work, shamadan chandeliers, vintage candle stands to bring out the old world Indian charm. For our Sangeet, the décor was ethereal in all white and gold and lastly, our Cocktail had a modern, minimal and chic feel to it.
