Qualcomm Technologies Launches its First Mobile Esports Initiative in India

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. announced the launch of its first-ever mobile esports program, Snapdragon Conquest, in India. The company has chosen Garena Free Fire as the official title for the event and allocated an INR 5M ($67K USD) prize pool for the event.

Snapdragon Conquest is expected to encompass multiple events throughout the year, enabling competitive gaming across multiple game titles and is designed to engage mobile gamers across all segments and levels of proficiency. The tournament kicks off with Snapdragon Conquest: Free Fire Open 2020.

Earlier this month, Qualcomm was also announced as the title sponsor for PUBG Mobile’s marquee event, the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship. The company was also the sponsor for the PUBG Mobile World League, which was the stepping stone to the Global Championship since the end of July.
