G2 Esports sets European hardware alliance with NVIDIA

G2 Esports and NVIDIA have announced a hardware partnership that will focus on the European region, and in particular, the organisation’s Rainbow Six Siege team.

Pro players and content creators will utilise NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX line of PC GPUs, and will have access to the company’s latest hardware and upcoming hardware.

Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez, CEO of G2 Esports, commented in a release: “NVIDIA and G2 are both committed to helping pro players unlock their potential and improve performance. Our players aim for the highest FPS possible to give them every competitive advantage. They need the smoothest animations and lowest latency to get the best results, and we couldn’t do it without NVIDIA.”

Aside from providing players and content creators with hardware, the companies have not yet detailed their plans to activate the agreement. The companies had previously partnered in 2017.

Oliver Beck, Marketing Director EMEA at NVIDIA, added: “GeForce RTX hardware provides the best performance; this means maximum frame rates, low latency, and a true competitive edge for gamers. It is an honor to work with the champions at G2 Esports and we are very excited about working together.”

Esports Insider says: G2 Esports has been very successful in Rainbow Six Siege, including winning 2019’s Six Invitational championship, so it’ll be interesting to see how they focus this partnership on that particular team.
