Dignitas Signs Streaming Deal With Huya – The Esports Observer|home of essential esports business news and insights

Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment-owned esports organization Dignitas announced that it has signed a streaming partnership deal with Chinese live streaming platform Huya.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Three of Dignitas’ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) players, Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, and Adam “friberg” Friberg will start streaming on Huya from Aug. 1.

Dignitas claims that this partnership is the organization’s first step into the Chinese esports market.

Earlier this month Dignitas hired Jeremy Dempe, a former Immortals Gaming Club content lead, as its new director of content. He will oversee all operations for video on demand and streaming content within the organization.

It’s unclear whether Dignitas’ League of Legends players will also stream on Huya. The Dignitas League of Legends team competes in the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS). The Esports Observer has reached out to Huya and Dignitas for more information.
